The tradition of weaving tie fabrics at DHJ Weisters stretches back to 1932, with the concentration of production onto club, school, and corporate ties in 1960. At that time only polyester was woven on shuttle looms with mechanical jacquards.
Over the intervening years investment in machinery, acquisition of other companies and extensive computerisation have created the present structure. Our weaving machinery today is of the highest technology, backed up by a fully computerised systems from accounting through to sketching, jacquard designing and production control.
Fabrics now cover a wide range in combinations of Polyester, Silk, Microfibre style, viscose and acetate.
